Göteborgs Konserthus liggar vid Göteplatsen sydvästra del och stod färdigt 1935. 1916 gavs en donation (700 000 krono) av Caroline Wijk. Arkitket Nils Einar Eriksson som var skolad i funktionalisemen, ritade byggnaden i nyklassicistisk stil 1931. Föregångaren till konserthusert låg på den västre delen av Heden
